Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: May 18, 2026
CoquiPaws believes in full transparency. This page explains exactly how we make money, our relationship with Amazon, and our commitment to honest editorial standards. This disclosure is provided in compliance with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) Endorsement Guides and applicable international consumer protection laws.
The Short Version
CoquiPaws.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com.
As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
That means if you click an Amazon link on our Site and buy something — the product we recommended, or anything else during that shopping session — Amazon pays us a small commission. This costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same whether you use our link or go to Amazon directly.
How Our Affiliate Relationship Works
- We research and write a review or guide about pet products.
- We include links to Amazon for products we recommend.
- You click a link and (sometimes) make a purchase.
- Amazon pays us a commission, typically 1–10% of the sale.
- That commission funds our research, writing, and hosting costs.
Our Amazon Associates tracking ID is coquipaws20-20. You may notice this in the URL of our affiliate links.
Other Affiliate Programs
While Amazon Associates is currently our primary affiliate program, we may participate in additional programs in the future (e.g., Chewy, Petco, pet brand partner programs). Any affiliate relationship will be disclosed clearly on the relevant page, and the same editorial standards apply.
Our Editorial Independence
This is the part that matters most:
- No brand pays for a top ranking. Our recommendations are based on research, not commissions.
- Higher commissions do not influence rankings. If a $20 product is better than a $200 product, the $20 product wins — even though we’d earn less.
- We say when a product is bad. We routinely recommend against popular products if our research finds they’re poorly made, unsafe, or overpriced.
- We disclose research methodology. Every review states clearly whether we have hands-on experience with the product or whether it’s a research-based analysis of verified customer reviews, manufacturer specs, and veterinary sources.
How We Identify Affiliate Links
Most product links on CoquiPaws are affiliate links. To make this clear:
- Every review and guide includes a disclosure statement near the top.
- Product boxes and «Buy on Amazon» buttons are affiliate links.
- In-text product mentions linking to Amazon are affiliate links.
Amazon Trademark Notice
Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates. CoquiPaws is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially affiliated with Amazon beyond participation in the Associates Program.
